POSTCARD FROM IBIZA // CO WARTO ZOBACZYĆ NA IBIZIE? //

Zamykasz oczy … i … masz podobnie? #IBIZA … „she has it all” i choć użyte tu „she” kłóci się mocno z zasadami gramatyki języka angielskiego to jak mawia znamienita większość świata … „f**k it”, bo wyspa zdecydowanie jest warta poświęconego jej czasu.

#IBIZA is a synonym for the spanish sun that towers over the island, which is almost depopulated in winter and teems with life in summer, whose only hashtag describing the events which are taking place there is #party? Your knowledge of the island … is therefore consistent with the one I had myself a few months ago. Closing my eyes and thinking „Ibiza”, like dj’s sets, I flashed frames of naked and inebriated (not only!) sangria eagerly dancing, to the rhythm of the music pounding from the speakers, chicas. You close your eyes … and … have the same? Give me ten minutes and I will try to change this quite clear vision of the island in your head. Ibiza, in addition to this totally party side, also has a second one, whose rich mediterranean vegetation with extensive pine forests, fig trees, almond trees and lush vineyards brings you closer to nature, and the peace that it provides even encourages you to look inside yourself. Lazy morning walks along the seashore or intense pilates sessions on the roof of the hotel lobby? Espresso and a baguette with slices of parma ham or a squeezed juice and an omelette with local veggies? A rest with a book by the pool and a refreshing drink or a trip along the historic monuments of the capital and madness on a quad? Sangria and paella at a local bar or semi-dry wine and lobster at a Michelin starred restaurant? Collecting sunsets in the top beach bars on the island where the best dj’s in the world take care of the musical setting or including places „to see” from the UNESCO World Heritage List? As the classic sang … #IBIZA … „she has it all” and although the „she” used here is in conflict with the rules of English grammar, as the vast majority of the world says … „f ** k it”, because the island is definitely worth your time. I invite you to explore a postcard from this absolutely top spanish island and find out the answer to the question „what is worth seeing at Ibiza”?

Ibiza to marka sama w sobie.

Ibiza is the 3rd largest (after Majorca and Menorca) and second most populated island of the Spanish Balearic archipelago, located in the western part of the island. Discovered in the 8th century b.c. by Greeks sailing on the Mediterranean Sea, who called the island covered with pine forest „Pithüsai” – „Pine”. For centuries it was an almost deserted island. In the middle of the last century, hardly anyone planned their holidays there. Only the 1960s and 1970s, thanks to the hippies, who wanted to experience peace of mind on its white beaches, made Ibiza immediately synonymous of bliss, equality and freedom. Ibiza is a brand in itself. We decided to check what the magic of the island is & booked plane tickets and a hotel for our stay there!

10 things TO DO in Oslo - Gdansk Airport

DZIEŃ I
29.06 (WTOREK) // LOT WARSZAWA – IBIZA //

dwie strony – stanowi to mniej więcej 1/2 regularnej ceny biletów).

*** UWAGA!

12.00 do 20.00 serwowane w nim były przekąski typu „finger food”, a więc mini dania kuchni śródziemnomorskiej, a także wyciskane soki owocowe, koktajle bez / alkoholowe, desery, owoce i inne pyszności. Dania bez glutenu? Dania bez laktozy?

A few minutes before 10 a.m., after a journey lasting less than 3 hours, we landed at Aeropuerto de Ibiza, which is the only airport on the island. From PL, we can get there only through LOT Polish Airlines, whose planes run on the WAW – IBZ / IBZ – WAW route on tuesdays in the morning. Another option may be to choose low-cost airlines, but it involves a transfer at one of the main airports in mainland Spain, which not only extends the time of our trip, but also generates an additional cost. The first solution seemed to be much more optimal. Less than a month before the planned departure date, using the #razyśroda (@flylot) offer, we bought tickets for a direct flight (550 PLN / person / two ways – this is approximately 1/2 of the regular ticket price).

*** CAUTION! *** A few days before our departure, the restrictions were lifted, including for Polish citizens coming to Spain, therefore we did not perform tests detecting the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. All citizens are obliged to fill in the „FCS” form on the website www.spth.gob.es or download the mobile application „SPAIN TRAVEL HEALTH – SPTH” and show the previously generated QR code before baggage check-in / boarding. It is checked both on the territory of Poland and Spain. However, the SARS-CoV-2 vaccination certificate was not checked upon arrival, which (at the time of publication of this blog post) is not required. Aeropuerto de Ibiza is an airport that has only one terminal, so checking the QR code by ground service, baggage claim or finding a free TAXI really took a while. The road from the airport to our destination, which was the Amàre Beach Hotel Ibiza, located in the west of the island, was also not very long (30min / 30 €).

Amàre Beach Hotel Ibiza is located by the San Antonio Bay, leveling the hotel’s beach with the Bou Cove waterfront, **** facility under the tag #AdultsOnly, and therefore intended for adult guests. It offers a range of amenities and attractions, including three outdoor swimming pools, one of which is located on the roof of the hotel, a wide range of the Amàre club or the Hayaca restaurant, where you can listen to live music, have a drink or eat a dish from the hand of a Michelin-starred chef .

The Mediterranean is not just a sea, it’s a way of life. The Amàre Beach Hotel Ibiza offers a sophisticated range of facilities for guest service, with three swimming pools, a gym and relaxing beauty and wellness treatments to take a break from your daily routine. What’s more, the hotel also has an outdoor car park, so you won’t miss a second of your holiday driving around in search of a place.

The description is a showcase in itself, and the motto #WhatAFeelingOfFreedom „is shared by all guests staying at the hotel. After entering the hotel, my first thought was „ultra-luxury without bloat „. The interiors of Amare Beach Hotel Ibiza are decorated in a boho style with a touch of glamour. They have a lot of works of modern art creators, which give them a unique character. The apartments are spacious, extremely atmospheric, and the view from the balcony allows the eyes to admire the pool part / part of the bay / part of the sea, depending on the type chosen. secret the one „not only provided a view of the San Antonio Bay, but also access to” the one „. From 12.00 to 20.00, finger food was served there, i.e. mini Mediterranean dishes, as well as squeezed fruit juices, non-alcoholic cocktails, desserts, fruit and other delicacies. Both lunch dishes and served breakfast or dinner were excellent. Dishes without glu tenu? Lactose-free dishes? Seafood dishes? Or maybe just the opposite? A lot of gluten, dairy and meat? The kitchen fits the tastes of absolutely every guest.

The first afternoon on the island was dedicated to getting to know its flavors and our surroundings. We took a long walk along the shores of San Antoni de Portmany Bay, visiting the city of San Antonio, which is the second largest on the island, described by Time Out magazine as „the club capital of the universe”. We spent the evening listening to dj’s sets on the roof of the hotel and drinking Pinacolada!

The city of Ibiza (Eivissa) in the southeast of the island, which has become the capital of the island, was our destination for Wednesday. Eivissa is 20 kilometers away from San Antonio, so we decided to rent … a quad! My favorite holiday hashtag, #quadlifechoseme, was on top again! With a budget reduced by 50 € (+ € 150 € deposit), we headed towards the capital. Even though the road lasted less than half an hour, it was truly magical! Driving a quad gives you an intense feeling of communing with nature. You experience the climate of the island much strong and you notice much more detail than when choosing a car. Traveling from the west of the island to its east, we saw several beautiful towns like San Agusti des Vedrà or Sant Josep de sa Talaia, which in my opinion is the most climatic residential region on the island.

After reaching the capital, we directed our steps to its upper part known as „Dalt Vila”. This old part, towering over the city, is closed to car traffic, which means that the small streets do not seem crowded. Without a doubt, they are a real miracle of architecture! Inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, due to its unique appearance, in conjunction with the tenement houses embedded on them, made our morning walk more pleasant. Cobbled streets lead to the famous cathedral and the castle towering over the city. The bastions of Sant Jordi and Sant Jaume passed from the south allow you to see the city from a completely different perspective. Whitewashed facades of houses, flower garlands contrast with the everyday life of the inhabitants of the old town, washing clothes and tumbling cables at the fore. The beauty of the exhibits at the Museu d’Art Contemporani d’Eivissa museum located from the 16th century building of the San Joan bastion, and a few dozen meters away stray dogs basking at the magnificent gate Portal de ses Taules. A city full of contradictions, without which none of its inhabitants can imagine their life. A city of close relations where almost all attractions are in sight. The fact also allowed us to complete all its points in just two hours, with an espresso break in a beautiful port. The port, the heart of the city from which passenger ships, transport ships, luxury yachts and catamarans leave and enter. The port, the most beautiful district of which is La Marina and its famous tenement houses with magnificent shutters, is a sight that is so eagerly captured on postcards, it is truly breathtaking.

DZIEŃ III
01.07 (CZWARTEK) // POZNAWANIE ZACHODNICH PLAŻ WYSPY //

#Quadlifechoseme dzień II, czyli na wyspie nasz dzień nr III. Plan na czwartek? #HealthyMorning z @cellublue_pl, a więc bieg i trening siłowy, a później orzeźwiający prysznic i masaż słynną bańką.

#Quadlifechoseme day II, our day III on the island. Plans for thursday? #HealthyMorning with @cellublue_pl, so running and strength training, and then a refreshing shower and massage with the famous Cellublue cup. Plans for the afternoon? Getting to know the western beaches of the island! Ibiza, with an area of 571 km2, has almost 100 beaches, and although almost all of them offer the opportunity to enjoy the charms of the weather and terrain, it is the beaches located on the western part of the island that are said to be fabulous! After passing each subsequent one, I said „this one is the most beautiful”! After spending the whole day exploring the west coast, I’ve come to the conclusion that each of them is absolutely unique. What do you have to see?

DZIEŃ IV
 02.07 (PIĄTEK) // #BEACHDAY / #POOLDAY //

Dzień IV upłynął nam w klimacie porannej sesji jogi, niezliczonej ilości wypitego Aperolu / Pinacolady i zjedzonych nachosów z guacamole, opalaniu przy basenie, pływaniu, wygłupianiu się, robieniu zdjęć, spacerowaniu i pląsaniu do rana na dachu hotelu.

Day IV passed in the atmosphere of a morning yoga session, countless glasses of Aperol / Pinacolada and nachos with guacamole, sunbathing by the pool, swimming, fooling around, taking pictures, walking and dancing until the morning on the roof of the hotel.

In Formentera, all roads lead to the sea, marveled the Asturian writer Emilio Sola. The longest, sixteen kilometers long, runs along the entire island from the lighthouse in the port of Sa Savina, to the capital of Sant Francesc Javier and the town of San Ferran de Sex Roques, to the lighthouse on the Meseta La Mola, with the highest peak on the island, Sa Talaiassa.

Sola and Verne are just two of the many surnames of eminent artists who left their hearts in Formentera. This island, located only seven kilometers (along the Els Freus) from Ibiza, is included in almost every TOP 10 ranking of the islands of the old continent. Formentera is kilometers of white sand and turquoise water, which is reminiscent of the climate of the Seychelles. The protection of the environment is the highest priority, therefore the area of the island remains unpolluted by destructive human activity. In addition to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, such as the kilometer-long beach in the south of the island of Platja de Mitjorn, the rocky corner to the northwest with the Roca Bella hotel – Platja d’es Pujols or the top located in the north Platja de ses Illetes, you will also find here something you can’t find anywhere else! Ses Salines National Park is a unique place filled with shimmering pink, purple and blue salty lakes, it is also home to unusual species of plants and animals. Since 1995, it has been a nature reserve, and also one of the leading points on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The view that our eyes could admire cannot be described in words. This place is so unique that I can’t imagine not to see it while in Ibiza. I do not hide that it was problematic (for me) and I am not afraid of that word – also a traumatic experience was the cruise from the port in Ibiza to the port de sa Savina in Formentera. It lasted only 25 minutes (we chose the „speedboat” option – 105 € / 2 persons / 2 sides / + scooter on Formentera island), but with a rough sea, which in this case could clearly be talked about, made the crossing for me massacre. Let the summary of this trip be the fact that, one kilometer from the shore, I was ready to jump out and reach Ibiza by swimming!!! Nevertheless, all the dramas of the day were worth the dozen or so hours spent on the island. I leave you with pictures of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen in my entire life.

We started Sunday a moment after 5 a.m., because our goal was to experience the sunrise on one of the most beautiful and wildest beaches in the north-eastern part of the island – Cala Benirras. The way it was quiet, peaceful and blissful at sunrise is hard to describe. What an experience! We spent the whole morning wandering around the most beautiful beaches of this part of Ibiza on a scooter, but unanimously concluded that Cala Benirras was just the special one. We spent the afternoon trying to heal my eye, into which a stone fell into it while driving (despite a helmet with glass protection!) … a drama. Fortunately, in the evening the mission was successful and my blurred and exhausted eye had some time to heal by the next day.

Monday, like Monday … In country or abroad, it is a day when there is a lot of work! Of course, my body was absent in the company, but my spirit is another topic. In the morning I had a workout in the gym, and after a shower and a delicious, healthy breakfast and espresso, which was supposed to stimulate my lazy cells to work, I got down to business. E-mails, e-mails and more e-mails, contact with clients was my #mood until midday, the following hours were a photo session for @doppelherz_pl announcing the new campaign, promoting the #KollagenBeauty supplement. The faces of the hotel guests who passed by the place of our session, and therefore the location in the heart of the hotel – the lobby … PRICELESS! Two bikes, me with a large glass with a supplement, bending in heels in an orange set, trying not to spill the liquid. It was definitely something! However, the photos came out phenomenal, and we dealt with the subject relatively quickly, so we caught another afternoon by the pool – this time, however, choosing the one located on the roof of the hotel. You already know the atmosphere of the dinner well! Seafood, a glass of white semi-dry wine, live music, a glass of white semi-dry wine, a glass of white semi-dry wine, a glass of white semi-dry wine …

DZIEŃ VIII
06.07 (WTOREK) // LOT IBIZA – WARSZAWA //

  • 1 100 PLN – lot na trasie WAW – IBIZA / IBIZA – WAW za pośrednictwem PLL LOT
  • 150 PLN  – dodatkowe ubezpieczenie w podróży (potocznie określane jako „travelka”)
  • 12 500 PLN – 7 nocy w **** Amàre Beach Hotel Ibiza (pokój „keep the secret the one”) wraz ze śniadaniami, dostępem do strefy „the one” między godz. 12.00 – 20.00, a także kolacjami
  • 305 €, tj.
  • 100 € ~ 450 PLN – wynajem quada / 2 doby
  • 5 € ~ 22,5 PLN – paliwo do quada / 2 doby
  • 38 € ~ 171 PLN – wynajem skutera / 1 dobę
  • 5 € ~ 22,5 PLN – bilet parkingowy & wejściówka do obiektu Cala Bassa Beach Club
  • 75 € ~ 337,5 PLN – genialny lunch w restauracji Sunset Ashram

After an unhealthy express breakfast experience, which was supposed to go to the places we all want;))) and of course it hit the thighs; ((( we had to check out of the hotel and hit the road to the airport. Everything good – ends quickly! To say that this trip „was good” is to be raving to the max. This trip was perfect in every way and made Ibiza + Formentera take the podium by storm in my private ranking!

Zdjęcia mówią same za siebie. Ukazują piękno, wyjątkowość i wszystkie jej oblicza. Magia!

Ściskam,

What’s worth seeing at Ibiza? You probably know perfectly well, and I will not convince you that this wonderful island of the Balearic archipelago is worth exploring. The photos speak for themselves. They show beauty, uniqueness and all its faces. Add to what gives you the sense of sight, the smell of pine forests, the sea breeze, the smells of Mediterranean cuisine and imagine that you experience it while sitting on the white sand of one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Magic!

With Love,

CMB
